💾 Keeping Your Data Safe
Backing up & updating
Your data is stored locally in your browser. It persists as long as you always open the app from the same browser.
Before updating the app: go to Settings → Export CSV to back up your data, then re-import it after opening the new version.
📊 Importing your data
Go to Settings → Download Template to get the CSV format
Connect to your own free Google Sheet to sync data across devices. Each person sets up their own — data is always private.
Step 1 — Create a Google Sheet
Go to sheets.google.com and sign in with your Google account
Click the + Blank button to create a new spreadsheet
Name it "WealthMe" (top left, click "Untitled spreadsheet")
Download the template below, then in your new sheet go to File → Import → Upload, select the file, and choose "Replace current sheet" — this sets up the correct column headers for you
Step 2 — Add the Script
Inside your Google Sheet, click Extensions in the top menu
Click Apps Script — a new tab opens with a code editor
Delete all existing code in the editor (Ctrl+A then Delete)
Tap the button below to view the script, then copy and paste it into the editor
Click the 💾 Save icon (or Ctrl+S)
Step 3 — Deploy as Web App
Click Deploy (top right) → New Deployment
Click the gear icon ⚙️ next to "Select type" → choose Web App
Set "Execute as" to Me
Set "Who has access" to Anyone
Click Deploy
A permissions dialog will appear — click Authorize access
Choose your Google account → click Advanced → Go to project (unsafe) → Allow
Copy the Web App URL shown at the end
⚠️ "Who has access" must be Anyone (not "Anyone with Google account") otherwise the sync won't work.
Step 4 — Connect to Wealth.Me
Open Wealth.Me → tap the ⚙️ Settings icon
Scroll to ☁️ Cloud Sync
Paste your Web App URL into the Script URL field
Tap Save URL
Tap Test Connection — you should see "Connected! ✓"
On other devices, repeat steps 1–5 of this section, then tap ↓ Pull from Sheet to download your data
💡 Push saves your local data to the sheet. Pull loads the sheet data into this device. Always Push before switching devices.

Export CSV
If the download button doesn't work, copy the text below and save it as a .csv file, or open it in a new tab and use your browser's save option.
